An Albany Thanksgiving

November was a month full of thanks, excitement and — who can forget — turkey trots! There’s no better time to express love and gratitude than Thanksgiving. Our Albany branch was able to come together this season to celebrate the incredible people who strengthen our society. 

Our Town Bethlehem Turkey Trot

Each year, the town of Bethlehem, NY hosts a turkey trot fundraiser with proceeds going to the Bethlehem Food Pantry and Bethlehem Community Fund. More and more families are relying on local food pantries for assistance during the pandemic. Because of COVID-19, the event was spaced out throughout the day, but many still participated in the annual event. Fox sponsored the event and everyone, including our very own social media manager, Nicole Rice, came together for this safe run. They managed to make some extra room in their bellies for that yummy Thanksgiving dinner!

Veteran’s Day 

November also includes another important holiday –  Veteran’s Day. Our team wanted to do something to honor our own Fox employees who have served in the military. The Albany branch handed out custom camouflage Fox hats to all our veterans on the team. Some members of our team received extra to hand out to other vets. 

To provide aid to returned soldiers, Fox, donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. This non-profit organization aids wounded vets in their transition back to civilian life. 

In the spirit of thanks, Albany branch owner Brent Homer praised our country’s brave veterans. 

“Our American freedoms are a result of the sacrifices of those who have served our country. 

We’re proud to employ veterans, and even more proud to provide services to those who have put their lives on the line,” he said. “Veterans Day may only be one day a year, but we value and recognize those who serve all-year round. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.”
