Fox Pest Control Sponsors 49th Annual Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

Fox Pest Control’s Baltimore Branch is sponsoring the 49th Annual Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, the flagship event for the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association. 

The Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival has a rich history dating back to April 1974, when it was originally called the “Sheep and Wool Crafts Festival”. Over the years, the Festival evolved and grew. Today, the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival is one of the largest festivals of its kind, celebrating all things sheep across two days of shows, demonstrations, family activities, contests, workshops, shopping, entertainment and food. Each year, tens of thousands of attendees join the event, not to mention 600+ sheep and herding dogs! 

This year’s festival is scheduled for May 7th and 8th at Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland. Admission is $5 per day for adults, and anyone under that age of 18 receives free admission. 

As demonstrated in Fox Pest Control’s core values, family and community are very important to our entire time. We love when families have the opportunity to come together, not only to just enjoy one another, but also to learn and grow together. It is for these reasons that for the 2022 Maryland Sheep & Wood Festival, Fox has committed support for the Family Activities Tent, which brings parents and their children together to learn wool crafts like felting, spinning, twining and braiding. 

While at the event, attendees have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy quintessential fair-style food, including ice cream, cotton candy, ribbon chips, etc. Food booths providing lamb dishes like burgers, leg of lamb sandwiches and lamb sausages are also onsite.
