FoxGiving: How Fox Gave Back in 2022

Posted January 9, 2023

FOX BRANCHES

2022 has been a fantastic year for Fox Pest Control. Not only did the company grow exponentially, but it also gave back to the community in a big way. Through FoxGiving, Fox donated thousands of dollars to local charities and organizations in need around the country. From participating in picking up food to deliver to those in need, donating money to local school charity events, to sponsoring a dog who is waiting for adoption, Fox was there to support the local community.

Fox’s mission is to help those struggling and in need of support. We believe in the power of giving back and want to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities around us. Our teams from all over the country have come together to make a real impact.

Here are some of the biggest highlights of the year from our Fox Branches:

Baton Rouge

Behind the Lines Baton Rouge Charity

This year we have partnered with Behind the Lines Baton Rouge Charity to sponsor a charity basketball event. This charity is designed to help out the families of first responders in our area who require additional assistance and support. The goal was to provide a fun-filled day for these families to enjoy friendly competition and raise money for those less fortunate.

We also had half-court shot contests during halftime, which helped raise even more funds for the cause. And gave four scholarships to less fortunate children with the best essays.

Fox Pest Control is proud to have been part of such a meaningful event and grateful for the chance to give back to our local community. We look forward to continuing this partnership and sponsoring more events in the future.

Providence

Disabled Vet Clothing Drive and Rescuing Left-Over Cuisine Project

This year the Fox Pest Control Providence branch participated in Rescuing Left-Over Cuisine. The team collected food that would otherwise go to waste and donated it to those in need.

Our Providence branch also conducted a Clothing Drive for Disabled Veterans living in the area. The team collected over 200 lbs of clothing from their staff and customers that will be used by those who need it most. There were 22 staff members involved in the project, and they each gave up at least an hour to make a difference.

The Fox Pest Control Providence branch is proud to have been able to give back in meaningful ways and looks forward to participating in more projects like these in the future. We can make a real impact on our community.

Westchester

Guardian Angel Program at the Putnam Humane Society

At Fox Pest Control Westchester Branch, we believe that helping those in need is essential. Our team participated in the Guardian Angel Program at the Putnam Humane Society this year. We donated blankets and toys for abandoned dogs and those needing rescue.

Our team members, Jon Hubert and Jim Buick delivered the donations and spent several hours playing and exercising with our sponsored dog “Willie.” David Strang, Victoria Bozzuto, and Alex Resciniti also chipped in by covering services.

We were proud to have been able to give back in such a meaningful way and are grateful for the chance to help our local community. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these sweet animals.

Manchester

Activity Bags for Families in Transition Shelter

In 2022 our team in Manchester was able to donate activity bags to the Families in Transition shelter. This project was spearheaded by our 13 dedicated employees, who donated their time and resources to build these special activity bags for kids staying at the shelter.

These activity bags were designed to bring joy to the kids and offer positive activities during this transitional period. Our team was proud to bring a smile to the faces of these children, and we hope that this small gesture goes a long way.

Fox Pest Control Manchester is proud to have been part of such a meaningful event, and we are grateful for our team members who made this possible. Together, we can make a real impact on our community! We look forward to fostering even more partnerships and sponsoring more events in the future.

Midland

The Jesus House of Odessa Homeless Shelter

This year, the Fox Pest Control Midland team was honored to donate $400.00 to the Jesus House of Odessa at the Homeless Shelter to provide meals for the less fortunate. The team’s leader, Michael Escobar, along with Jason Steffey, Bobby Dillon, and Martin Lujan, personally served 100 meals to people in need.

It was a humbling experience for the team, and those they served were incredibly grateful for the team’s generous donations. We look forward to returning and helping out again in the future and are proud to have been able to give back in a meaningful way. Fox Pest Control Midland is committed to making a real impact on our community, and we look forward to participating in more initiatives like this one in the future.

Virginia Beach

Collected from Customers for the Oasis Social Ministry

Our Virginia Beach branch was pleased to contribute this year to the Oasis Social Ministry in Portsmouth, Virginia. Through an email blast to our customers, we asked them to donate non-perishable food items when they scheduled their pest control service.

Our team collected a total of 266 pounds of food – which comes out to about 366 meals! This generous donation was made possible by our Virginia Beach Fox Pest Control employees and many of our supportive customers. Our team members spent approximately 50 hours volunteering to make this project come to fruition.

We are proud to have been a part of this initiative and grateful for the chance to make a difference in our community. We look forward to participating in more projects like this and hope to continue impacting those who need it the most.

Pittsburgh

UPMC Children’s Hospital Staff Snack Baskets

This year, the Fox Pest Control Pittsburgh team had the pleasure of partnering with UPMC Children’s Hospital to bring joy and sustenance to their staff. We built snack baskets that could be left around the hospital for workers who needed a quick bite during their shifts. Everyone benefited from this generous donation from nurses, doctors, security officers, and receptionists.

The team spent 16 hours on the project, and 7 Fox Pest Control members contributed in some way. The staff at UPMC Children’s Hospital were very appreciative of our thoughtfulness. We are so proud to have been part of such an incredible effort, and we have the utmost respect for all the hardworking people at the hospital.

Merrimack Valley

Boston North Shore- Sleep In Heavenly Peace Beds for Children

There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to those in need. The Fox Pest Control Merrimack Valley team had the opportunity to partner with Sleep In Heavenly Peace Beds for Children this year and help make a difference in the lives of children in our community who do not have a bed.

With the help of our team, we were able to build 15 beds for children and provide them with a much-needed sleep solution. We all had a great time while volunteering and felt privileged to be part of such an important cause. The chapter president, Chris, appreciated our help and service. We all had a great time putting the beds together and seeing how much they would mean to the children who received them.

We also signed up to go out on bed deliveries so we could witness the smiles of the children when they finally got their beds. We can’t wait to help again and are so pleased to have been a part of this fantastic initiative!

Lubbock

Arrow Child & Family Ministries Foster Home

This holiday season, the Fox Pest Control Lubbock team had the pleasure of partnering with Arrow Child & Family Ministries Foster Home to bring some holiday cheer to those in need. We provided several gifts for twenty children living in the foster home, including a special lunch and an afternoon spent with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. It was an amazing experience, and the children were thankful for their gifts. We are so happy with the outcome of this service. It was a memorable day that we will never forget.

Lafayette

Lafayette Community Fridge Meals for Homeless

This year the Fox Pest Control Lafayette team had the pleasure of partnering with the Community Fridge to provide meals for those experiencing homelessness in our community. We put together a total of 100 sack lunches, which were delivered to the fridge, and 11 employees volunteered their time to make this project possible.

As an organization, our mission is to positively impact the communities we serve. We are so proud of our Fox team for their dedication and hard work and are very happy to be able to help those in need. We look forward to doing more projects like this one in the future and hope that together, we can continue impacting our community!

Dallas Fort Worth

Honored the Memory of a US Army Major with a Flag

Our team of employees at Fox Pest Control DFW was honored to be able to pay a special tribute to an incredible military veteran, Sergeant Major Leon Hogg. Sargeant Hogg recently passed away and left behind a loving wife, Jan. In his memory, we presented Jan with a new American Flag and then raised it above her home.

We were moved by the story of Sergeant Hogg’s selfless dedication to his country and are proud to have been able to honor him in such a special way. The flag-raising was a solemn and emotional ceremony during which Jan shared fond memories of her late husband. We will never forget this day and are thankful to have had the opportunity to pay tribute to a true hero.

HOME OFFICE DEPARTMENTS

Our Home Office Departments also took part in FoxGiving this month, and here are some of the causes they supported.

Accounts Receivable

Little Lambs Foundation for Kids

This November, our Fox Pest Control Accounts Receivable team was privileged to donate $400 to the Little Lambs Foundation for Kids. This incredible organization supports children entering foster care throughout Utah, offering them comfort kits, hygiene kits, diapers, and more.

We also volunteered our time by putting together comfort and hygiene kits to donate to Little Lambs. Working together as a team to give back and help those in need was incredibly rewarding. Thank you to Little Lambs for all that you do! We are so grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in our community and hope to continue doing more projects like this one in the future.

Fleet and Dispatch

Home Starter Baskets for Refugees in Ogden

This month, our team at Fox Pest in the Control Fleet and Dispatch department came together to create ten laundry baskets for refugees in Ogden. We were deeply moved by the story of Douglas and his family, who had recently been reunited after a long separation due to complications with legal guardianship.

We put together the baskets with paper plates, laundry soap, and other simple household items to make life easier for these families. It was gratifying to give back and make a difference in our community.

We are thankful for the opportunity to support those less fortunate than us and hope our simple act of kindness will make a lasting impact. We are proud to be part of the Fox Pest Control organization and thank everyone who participated in this project!

Internet Marketing

Pet Supplies to Cache Humane Society

This year, our team at Fox Pest Control, in the Internet Marketing department, worked together to provide supplies to the Cache Humane Society in Logan, UT. This incredible organization has been rescuing dogs and cats for over 40 years and relies heavily on donations from the community.

We decided to compile a list of items the shelter needed and then go to PetSmart to shop for these items. We also purchased items from the shelter’s Amazon Wishlist. It took nine volunteers and 2 hours to assemble all the supplies, but it was incredibly rewarding. In addition, our team member Chris Keenan made a monetary donation to his local animal shelter in Rockaway, NJ, called Eleventh Hour Rescue.

It was gratifying for us to be able to work together as a team for such an amazing cause. We are thankful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference in our community. We hope that this project will inspire others to do the same! Thank you, Cache Humane Society and Eleventh Hour Rescue, for all you do!

Human Resources

Packaged Food at the Cache Community Food Bank

There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to your community. This year, our team at Fox Pest Control in the HR Department was privileged to have an opportunity to volunteer at the Cache Community Food Bank.

We were tasked with sorting through hundreds of pounds of lunch meat and packaging them into individual meals. It was an excellent chance for us to come together and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

We were lucky enough to have our photographer, Klaus, document our time at the Food Bank. We can’t wait to see the beautiful photos he took of us! It was an incredibly rewarding experience for all 16 of us who volunteered, and we are so grateful to Fox for allowing us to take time from work and help others.

Finance

Food Drive for Cache Food Pantry

This past year, our team at Fox Pest Control in the Finance Department had the honor of participating in a food drive for the Cache Food Pantry. We were optimistic about this project, as we knew it was an incredible opportunity to support those who need food security in our local community.

Our team spent 15 hours organizing and collecting food donations that were generously given to us by our outstanding employees. Along with the food donations, we were also able to donate $400. With the help of our generous contributions, the Cache Food Pantry was able to provide food for those in need during this difficult time.

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this fantastic cause! We are always thankful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference in our community. We hope our simple act of kindness will inspire others to do the same.

Information Technology (IT)

Helped a Family of 7 in Need

This year, our team at Fox Pest Control in the IT department was proud to have the opportunity to help two families in need by providing them with Walmart gift cards.

The first we helped was a family of seven kids, with their parents struggling to make ends meet during this difficult time. They were overwhelmed and incredibly thankful when we offered our generous contribution of a $300 gift card.

The second family we assisted was a single man, Johnny. He had recently moved into an apartment with roommates after having lived out of his car and a storage unit earlier in the year. We gave him a $100 gift card to help get him through this tough stretch and wished him luck in his new job.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to give back to our community and make a small difference in someone’s life. Knowing that our contribution is making a meaningful impact on these families’ lives drives us at Fox Pest Control to continue giving back.
