Small Bags. Big Impact.
The Lexington branch recently came together to support individuals experiencing homelessness across the communities they serve. With a shared goal of offering practical help and a little dignity, the team assembled drawstring backpacks filled with essential items for people in need.
Each backpack included items such as socks, washcloths, deodorant, body wipes, grooming kits, and basic first-aid supplies. Once assembled, the bags were given to technicians to keep in their trucks so they could be handed out directly to individuals at local shelters and at stoplights throughout the counties the branch serves.
Every technician distributed at least one backpack, and each interaction was met with gratitude and appreciation. The response was a powerful reminder that small gestures can make a meaningful difference, especially when they meet an immediate need.
The effort is ongoing, with backpacks still being distributed as technicians encounter people who could use extra support. So far, the bags have reached individuals across several counties, extending the impact well beyond a single location.
This initiative was never about recognition or reward. It was simply about helping others and showing up for the community in a real, human way. Seeing the appreciation from those receiving the backpacks has been deeply rewarding for everyone involved and a proud reflection of the values the Lexington team lives out every day.
