When Foxgiving Meets Girl Scouts
When a local Girl Scout troop began looking for a meaningful way to serve the community, an opportunity emerged to bring two good things together. The goal was simple. Help the Girl Scouts learn the value of service while also supporting families in need through Foxgiving.
The team partnered with a new commercial account, Families in Transition, an organization that supports children and families facing housing insecurity. To meet immediate needs, about $650 worth of essential items were purchased from a local Dollar Tree. From there, the Girl Scouts stepped in, assembling the items into thoughtful gift baskets designed to support families during a difficult time.
Once the baskets were complete, a small group from the Fox team volunteered to help deliver the donations to the Families in Transition drop-off location. It was a hands-on experience that connected effort with impact and showed the Girl Scouts how service can make a real difference in their own community.
The delivery wasn’t just about dropping off supplies. It was about showing up, working together, and helping kids and families feel supported when they need it most. For everyone involved, it was a reminder that when service, teamwork, and generosity come together, the impact reaches far beyond the moment.
