Trunk or Treating Our Way Into the Community

This year marked the second time the branch participated in a Trunk or Treat event, but it looked a little different than before. Last year’s event was held alongside neighboring businesses near the branch. This year, with Fox Pest Control officially expanding into the Gulf Coast, Mississippi area, the team saw an opportunity to meet the community right where they are.

The branch participated in the Trunk-or-Treat event at Joshua Haney’s church, First Methodist Church, in Long Beach, Mississippi. The church community welcomed Fox with open arms and expressed excitement about the team’s participation and continued service in the area.

The turnout was bigger than expected. Families filled the event, kids lined up in costumes, and at one point, the team genuinely worried they might run out of treats. Not only did they have enough to keep things going, but they were also able to help another participant who ran out by sharing some of their own treats, so no child was turned away.

The costumes were a hit, especially Fritz, who quickly became a favorite among the kids and families attending. Laughter, photos, and plenty of candy made the night one to remember.

Because many team members live in Louisiana, the event required a few special volunteers to make it happen. Extra thanks go to Jessica Lawrence for capturing the night through photos and to Traci Hursey, Lead Technician, for making the long trip to support the event.

As Fox continues to grow along the Gulf Coast, moments like this help build real connections. Showing up, lending a hand, and participating in local traditions are just a few ways the team is working to serve the community and build trust from the very beginning.
