The Oxford branch works with a large apartment complex, and one tenant in particular had been dealing with a tough cockroach issue for a while.

He’s an author and a big-time book lover. Like, truly a collector. The kind of person whose books aren’t just “stuff” but a big part of who he is. The only problem was that the stacks of books made it harder to treat the apartment effectively, and he was understandably unwilling to part with them.
To make things even harder, the tenant is wheelchair bound and has limited mobility. Getting to the kitchen was nearly impossible, and even reaching the bathroom was a struggle. It was one of those situations where it was clear this wasn’t just about a pest issue. It was about needing real support.
Technician Ramon Torres, who had been servicing the apartment, didn’t want to just treat and leave. He wanted to help.
So the team made a plan. They purchased a few bookshelves, assembled them at the office, and then delivered them to the tenant’s home. A handful of team members jumped in, carefully moved the books aside, installed the shelves, and then helped load them and get everything organized.
The result was a win all around. The tenant didn’t have to part with any of his prized books; the home became more manageable, and the team could treat the space more effectively.
Most importantly, the customer was genuinely excited and incredibly grateful for the help. It was a simple gesture, but it made a big difference, and it’s a great example of what it looks like to serve people with care, not just show up and do a job.
That same spirit of looking for ways to help extends beyond the homes we service and into the communities we’re part of.

While visiting a prospective client, Commercial Account Manager Michael DeMayo connected with the owner of White Silo Farm and learned about an upcoming event benefiting the Town of Sherman food pantry.
Recognizing that smaller communities often receive limited support, the branch committed to helping with the donation effort. With contributions from technicians and team members, the branch collected more than 400 pounds of food to support local families in need.
The donations were delivered to White Silo Farm ahead of the event, where they would be distributed through the town’s food pantry. The team shared that the gratitude expressed by organizers and community members was overwhelming and appreciated by all involved.
