Virginia Beach FoxGiving: 70 Pounds of Candy and 4,500 Smiles
This year’s FoxGiving event at our Virginia Beach branch was a huge success, and it was the kind of night that reminds you how fun it is to show up for the community.
The team brought around 70 pounds of candy to share with an estimated 4,500 children, and the turnout did not disappoint. Families packed the event, the costume creativity was next-level, and it felt like every few steps brought a new character, superhero, or tiny wizard asking for “just one more piece.”
One of the biggest wins this year was getting settled into a permanent spot at the event in our new location. The team was placed in the barn area for Trunk or Treat, a section reserved for more established volunteers, and it was an honor to be included. Even better, Virginia Beach has officially been invited to return as a permanent participant for next year and the years to come.
Big thanks to everyone who helped donate candy, set up, hand out treats, and bring the energy. It takes a group effort to pull off an event this size, and this team absolutely delivered.
