Fox Pest Control Sponsors 2022 Best Buddies Friendship Walk

The 2022 Best Buddies Friendship Walk in Central Illionis is scheduled to take place at The Corn Crib on April 30, 2022. As a fervent supporter of community engagements and organizations seeking to better our society, Fox Pest Control’s Bloomington Branch has committed to sponsoring the event.

The Walk is an annual event hosted by Best Buddies, the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Today, more than 200 million individuals are part of the IDD community, and Best Buddies works to serve people with all disabilities including, but not limited to, Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and other undiagnosed disabilities.

Each year more than 40,000 walkers nationwide help make Best Buddies Friendship Walks successful, positive events. Not only does Best Buddies Friendship Walk bring together people with IDD to walk with other community members, but it raises money to ensure that Best Buddies programs can continue in schools, workplaces and communities. Best Buddies programs help people with IDD form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking and communication skills and feel valued by others.
