Fox Pest Control Sponsors 2022 Champaign-Urbana Folk & Roots Festival

Music is a powerful tool. It has the power to evoke emotions, tell stories and bring together individuals from completely different backgrounds in harmony. 

When traveling to serve customers throughout the area, technicians from Fox Pest Control’s Bloomington branch can be found enjoying a variety of different musical genres. In fact, very few of our Fox Family members at the branch have the same taste in music. Regardless of what they enjoy listening to, one common thread is that each perhaps would admit that music can instantly put them in a good mood, make traffic a little more bearable and bring back a memory or two while driving down the road. 

This year, to show love for music and reinforce commitment to Fox Pest Control’s core values, specifically #18 – Share the Profits – the Bloomington branch has committed to sponsoring the 2022 Champaign-Urbana Folk and Roots Festival. 

An annual, community-driven event since 2009, the Folk and Roots Festival is an all-volunteer-run, grassroots festival that brings together national, regional and local artists and folk organizations. 

Over the course of a few short days, 80 high-quality folk performances and art-focused activities take place throughout downtown Urbana. Each year, the festival offers a variety of activities, including performances, dances, instructional sessions, jams, song-circles, family activities, storytelling and instrument-making. 

In addition to music and art, the festival, which takes place within a several block radius in downtown Urbana, seeks to bring attention and commerce to local businesses in the heart of the town as well as draw in visitors from other parts of the state and surrounding area.
