Fox Pest Control Donates to 2021 Winterfest Hartford

If you’re familiar with Fox Pest Control’s 18 Core Values, you know how important family and community are to us. When looking for ways to get involved in the community, we’re always keeping our eyes open for family-oriented engagements, so when the team at the Fox Pest Control branch in Hartford learned about the opportunity to sponsor this year’s Winterfest Hartford, they immediately wanted to get involved! 

Started more than a decade ago, Winterfest Hartford has been an annual tradition for many families in the area, providing hundreds of hours of free activities for those of all ages. In 2019, the last year that the event was hosted before the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 42,000 people skated at the rink in Bushnell Park. 

According to Jackie Mandyck, Executive Director at iQuilt Partnership, the organization behind the event, Winterfest Hartford costs approximately $275,000 annually and the event wouldn’t happen without sponsorships from local businesses like Fox Pest Control. The donations allow the event to be completely free for families and includes activities such as free ice skating, free skate rentals, skating lessons, games and many other family-friendly, outdoor activities. 

Beginning this November, community members are invited to join in on all the fun at Bushnell Park, adjacent to the Pump House. The rink is open daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. through January 9, with the exception of a few days.
