Our Connection to Hartford

Brian Brown, the Regional Manager of Southern New England for Fox Pest Control, used to be a paramedic for the city of Hartford and surrounding communities prior to his employment at Fox. He built an appreciation for good food while on duty. From Heidi’s Place on Main Street to the myriad of Italian restaurants and bakeries, there’s always something to choose from. He also loves the Latin cuisine of Park St. and the West India eateries of the North End. Hartford does, indeed, have a fantastic variety of food and culture. 

Keith, a new member of our Fox Family, is a hardworking Hartford exterminator with valuable insight into the Hartford area. Having been born in New Haven, CT, Keith has lived in Connecticut for years. Though he’s never lived in Hartford, he is familiar with several key locations there and even had a unique pest experience in the area.

Keith drove by Connecticut’s Old State House often while providing Hartford pest control services to residents. It’s a beautiful building to see, not just because of the striking architectural style mixture used to construct it, but because of its importance in United States history.  The famous Supreme Court trial, United States v. The Amistad, took place in its courtroom. It was also been deemed a National Historic Landmark. Although Keith saw the Old State House often, he didn’t service the building. The government has kept this piece of history pest-free for a long time!

He also loves visiting Bushnell Park, especially during the holidays when Winterfest Hartford provides free ice skating for all park visitors. It’s the perfect way for him and his family to feel the holiday spirit out on the ice! This fun holiday tradition is funded solely by sponsors and donors. We at Fox Pest Control are proud to be Winterfest Hartford Sponsors for 2021 and plan on making it a Fox tradition to sponsor it every year if possible!

As a sports lover, Keith has visited Dunkin’ Donuts Park to see the Hartford Minor League Baseball Team, the Hartford Yard Goats, a few times. Neither the park’s name nor the team’s name are what one would typically expect, but that’s half the fun! Even pest control technicians need a day free from hunting pests to cheer Yard Goats!

Speaking of chasing pests, Keith had his first encounter with outgoing rodents in Hartford. It’s not too often that mice spend time out in the center of a room, but Keith saw multiple rodents at one time running across the middle of a basement floor. He received plenty of experience from that visit. If you need mouse control, Keith’s your guy!

As a company, Fox Pest Control takes great pride in our community. In addition to sponsoring Winterfest Hartford, we also contributed to the Hartford Marathon Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that organizes fitness events.
