Fox Pest Control Sponsors Kids Get Fit

During a recent meeting, Fox Pest Control branch managers were asked to share what makes the area they serve so great. Jordan Pentacost, the manager at Fox Pest Control’s Corpus Christi Branch, didn’t hesitate a minute before sharing that it’s the people in the community that make Corpus Christi an amazing place to live and work. 

It is this love and admiration for the people, coupled with the feeling of responsibility to make our community the best it can be, that we are always looking for ways to help by giving back and supporting others around us. 

When we were introduced to Kids Get Fit, a community-based 501(c)(3) that promotes healthy lifestyles for children and families, we knew instantly that we wanted to get involved. 

Kids Get Fit started because of a few startling statistics. 

• In 2011, the percentage of obese children in Texas was between 15-20%. 
• Texas is ranked the 5th most obese state in the country. 

The team behind Kids Get Fit fights to combat the obesity epidemic and all the risks that come with it, including diabetes, heart disease and strokes. By focusing on exercise, nutrition and mindfulness, Kids Get Fit is able to help children and their families make better lifestyle choices and live healthier lives. 

We love the people of Corpus Christi, and we’re excited to help Kids Get Fit promote active, healthy lifestyles!
