When you examine Fox Pest Control’s 18 Core Values, you’ll see these words repeated multiple times – family, team, relationship. In fact, the word family can be found more than 14 times! Why do we use these words so often? It’s simple: they are incredibly important. We wouldn’t be anything without our family, our team and our relationships both internally and within the community.
Earlier this year we learned that Southlake, Texas has Sister City relationships with Tome City, Japan and Wuzhong District, China. If you’re not familiar with a Sister City, the goal is to create a mutually-beneficial relationship between the two municipal governments, identifying and encouraging cultural and economic relations between citizens. In essence, the Sister City program hones in on a few of our favorite things — family, team and relationship — to create inclusiveness that benefits everyone.
To ensure relationships and programs are maintained, Southlake Sister Cities operates through a service agreement with the City of Southlake to manage its Sister Cities program on behalf of its citizens. While Southlake Sister Cities receives a percentage of its core budget from the city, the remainder of the organization’s budget is raised through donations from businesses like Fox, individuals, and foundations.
Approximately 150 residents of Southlake and the surrounding cities participate as members, volunteers and citizen ambassadors in the program each year. The main goal is to host mutually beneficial people-to-people exchanges that:
Fox Pest Control is proud to support Southlake Sister Cities, making a monetary donation to help keep exchange programs operating and paving the way for successful relationships across the globe.
