A Special Thank You to our Veterans

On the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918, leaders of the allies and Germany met in Compiegne, France to cease hostilities and bring an end to The Great War. In the following years, the United States Congress announced an annual observance of Armistice Day, and it became a national holiday in 1938. The celebration has since changed names, becoming known as Veteran’s Day, and each November 11th, the country comes together to honor all American veterans who served their country honorably during both wartime and peacetime. 

This year, Fox Pest Control-Westchester wanted to find a way to recognize veterans, to thank them for their service. In order to do so they created special hats — red white and blue on the back and camo on the front — to give to a couple veterans on their pest control routes. A simple gesture to honor such a courageous contribution, but appreciated nonetheless. Below are the veterans honored, along with their Fox Pest Pro. 

These heroes embody everything we strive to be here at Fox. They are crusaders doing the work that matters. They never let fear lead their decisions, and they took extreme ownership in their work. From everyone here at Fox, to all of our great nation’s veterans, we salute you. Thank you for your service.
