Fox Sponsors DrupalCamp NYC

This October, Fox Pest Control Hudson Valley is sponsoring DrupalCamp NYC 2021. The New York Drupal community is one of the largest in the world, and they have been hosting camps just like this one for over a decade. Although the camp is based around the software, the true highlight is the community that comes with it, a diverse group of people with various backgrounds and expertise, all interested in a common goal of supporting and growing the Drupal software project.

What is Drupal?

If you’re not familiar with Drupal, it is an open source content management system. It has great standard features, and relies heavily on modularity to create some of the best experiences on the web. It is free to anyone, and anybody can download, share and work on it with others. It is the framework used by companies like the BBC, NBC and more to create great user experiences, and the United States, France and London use it to communicate with their citizens. The open source aspect is what makes it special, it allows people from all over the world to work together, and to date there are more than 1,000,000 passionate developers, designers, editors and more working together.

About the camp

This year, DrupalCamp NYC will take place from October 28th-30th, in a primarily digital format. They had hoped to have a true hybrid version of the conference, but due to Covid-19 variants, they have elected to switch to a digital format to keep everyone safe and be able to properly plan. There will be engaging sessions, hands-on training, opportunities to contribute for everyone involved, and lots of Drupal fun. Tickets are free, but training sessions will require a deposit fee that will be completely refunded upon completion of the training. This fee was established to minimize no-shows and give trainers the opportunity to better know how large each class will be. Check out their website for more information, and ways to get involved.
