Fox Pest Control Sponsors Local Girls On the Run 5K

We strongly believe that our mission is to develop confident leaders and empower individuals to provide strong, outstanding service. By investing time and training into our team members, we know that we’re creating a network of individuals that can and will make a difference in our community. 

An organization that also believes in building up the leaders of tomorrow is Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run, a national non-profit established in 1996, focuses on girls in third through eighth grade. Led by a network of trained, volunteer coaches, Girls on the Run use physical activity and dynamic discussions to help girls build social, emotional and physical skills that will benefit and be of use throughout their entire lives. After going through an 8-week program, all girls participate in a 5K, giving them a tangible opportunity to apply all that they have learned.

It is because of our similar goals and missions that the Fox Pest Control branch in Lexington has decided to sponsor the Girls on the Run Central Kentucky Spring 5K, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, at 3pm at Fasig Tipton. 

The 5K, which is primarily organized and supported by a wonderful network of community volunteers, will celebrate the achievements of the most recent group of girls who have gone through the 8-week program, which began in February 2022. While the girls are main participants and event focus, the 5K is open to anyone in the community that would like to participate. If you’re interested, you can sign up for the 5K here.
