Turkey Trot for The Marisa Fund

Since 2020, Fox Pest Control has been a proud sponsor of The Marisa Fund, an organization dedicated to ending pediatric cancer. An organization with a somber beginning, the Marisa Fund was created in 2004 by David Goldwasser, father of Marisa , a dedicated student and athlete who was taken from us at only 20 years old by Hodgkin’s Lymphoma . David said he and Marisa ran together and we read together. They even intended to write a book together after she graduated from Duke University; unfortunately, Marisa didn’t live long enough to make that dream come true. David carried on Marisa’s memory by creating the Marisa Fund, writing four books, and holding annual races since 2004. Since then, the organization has raised over $750,000 to support over 100 families and won’t stop until they find the cure.

Join Fox Pest Control in supporting the 5 Mile Turkey Trot for The Marisa Fund this thanksgiving. 

The race will take place at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, NY and all money raised will go to support the Marisa Fund. The Turkey Trot has become the largest in the area, with over 3,100 runners participating each thanksgiving morning, helping to raise funds to eradicate childhood cancer.
