Fox Pest Control Sponsors Touch-a-Truck 2022

Whether you choose to call us “kids at heart” or “young in spirit”, there’s no denying that when team members in Fox Pest Control’s Lubbock branch get to see a big truck, an interesting piece of machinery or work equipment, they get a little spark of excitement. There’s just something about big trucks and their operators that excites us, which is why the team has decided to sponsor Touch-a-Truck 2022, a hands-on day for children (and adults!) to get up close and personal with working equipment. 

Touch-a-Truck is a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly event hosted by the Lubbock Junior League. The event brings kids and adults not only face-to-face with machinery, working vehicles, utility trucks, tractors, unusual equipment, and one-of-a-kind cars, but also introduces the amazing men and women who operate them in the South Plains community! 

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the South Plains Mall parking lot (6002 Slide Road). At the event, attendees are given opportunities to touch, see and interact with different trucks and machines. Additionally, several educational opportunities and demonstrations will be offered. New this year is “horn-free hour” from 9-10am, allowing those who want to experience the trucks and equipment without all the noise to join the fun.

In April 2019, the last time Touch-a-Truck was held due to the coronavirus pandemic, more than 2,500 children and adults came to see, touch and experience 26 different pieces of equipment and trucks!
