Fox Pest Control Partners with BBBS in Permian Basin

One of the core values at the heart of Fox Pest Control is to “Build and Strengthen Relationships”. It’s a value that we not only standby in our relationships with customers and team members, but also in the organizations that we support. One of the organizations that our team at Fox Pest Control’s Midland & Odessa branch feels perfectly embodies this core value is Big Brothers Big Sisters. In fact, relationships are at the very center of why the organization exists. The majority of the children participating as Littles in the program have experienced divorice or separation in their homes or perhaps the loss of a parent, leaving them with the desire and need for companionship that they are unable to get from their single parent or caretaker alone. 

At Fox Pest Control, we know first hand that positive relationships are needed at all stages of life, but especially when individuals are young as they mold and shape attitudes and decisions both in short and long-term ways. It is because of this reason and our dedication to our core values and community that we’re proud to announce that Fox Pest Control is now an official sponsor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Permian Basin! 

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has focused on developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on children ages five through 18. And, the organization has facilitated amazing outcomes! According to research, after a year and a half of spending time with their Bigs, Little Brothers and Little Sister are less likely to begin using illegal drugs and alcohol, they are less likely to skip school, a class or hit someone and they are overall more confident in their schoolwork and able to get along better with their families. While Big Brothers Big Sisters has a huge impact in the lives of youth, the greatest positive outcome comes in the area of prevention of alcohol and substance abuse. 

Volunteer Bigs and donations help ensure that Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Permian Basin is not only able to continue operating, but most importantly, making a difference in the lives of the youth in our community.
