Walk to End Alzheimer’s

This fall, Fox Pest Control is proud to be sponsoring the Permian Basin Walk To End Alzheimer’s. The Walk To End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities across the nation, helping to raise care, support and research for Alzheimer’s. The walk began as the Memory Walk in 1989, with nine Alzheimer’s Association chapters raising $149,000 from 1,249 participants. The event grew quickly and in 2020 alone the walk raised more than $67 million. 

This research and awareness is vital because at this point, there is no cure for Alzheimers and over 6 million Americans are living with the disease. Between 2000 and 2019, deaths from Alzheimer’s have increased by 145%, and show no signs of slowing as the number of senior citizens increases. The Alzheimer’s Association believes that the first survivor of Alzheimer’s is out there, and we need to keep fighting for a cure until we find it. Join Fox Pest Control and many other sponsors and participants this year at the Cimarex Energy Pavilion in Midland on October 16th to walk to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. This year’s walk will take place on site, but participants have the option to walk at home in your neighborhood to respect everyone’s health and safety. The Alzheimer’s Association asks that all attendees are vaccinated or wear a mask in crowded areas to meet CDC guidelines against COVID-19.
