Fox Pest Control Announces 2022 Global Peace Film Festival Sponsorship

At Fox Pest Control, we’re always looking for ways to get involved and leave a positive impact. As a result, when the team at Fox Pest Control’s Orlando Branch heard about the Global Peace Film Festival and learned its taglines — Get Involved. Change Things. — we knew we’d found another organization we wanted to support. 

2022 marks the 20^th year of the Global Peace Film Festival using the power of film and creative media as a catalyst to inspire people to initiate positive change in their communities and worldwide. In addition to the film screenings and discussions, the Festival includes musical and spoken word performances, as well as art exhibits, including a K-12 Peace Art Exhibit where students express their ideas about peace – the theme for the 2021 exhibit was “Heal the World.”

The Global Peace Film Festival presents a world-class program that includes Academy Award® and nominated films and acclaimed work from around the globe. Programming also includes work from local filmmakers and even young artists whose films have not yet been seen elsewhere. Since 2020, the Festival has been presented both in person and virtually so films can be seen beyond the organization’s Central Florida home. For online viewers, there is a selection of ticketed films as well as a selection of short films that are free to audiences worldwide. The 2022 in-person festival begins on September 19 and runs through September 25; the online festival begins on September 26 and runs through October 9. Over the years, attendance has grown from 1,500 in 2003 to close to 7,000 in 2019! 

What sets the GPFF apart from other film festivals is its goal to amplify the work of both filmmakers and our community partners wherever we engage them. The films in the program reflect the priorities of community partners, and we host the festival with the spirit of collaboration for filmmakers, local organizations and audience members to share experiences and develop relationships.
