Fox Pest Control Signs as Multi-year Sponsor of MuSic for MS

Recently the team at our Fox Pest Control’s Pittsburg branch came to learn that there are more than 400,000 people in the U.S. that are affected by multiple sclerosis, and 7,500 of these families reside in Western Pennsylvania where our team lives and works. It may be hard to believe, but someone is newly diagnosed with MS every single hour. 

As you may know, multiple sclerosis — often referred to simply as MS — is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. For each individual diagnosed with MS, the progression of the disease, severity, and specific symptoms are different. And, unfortunately, we’re still trying to find a cure for MS. 

After learning more about the disease, our team wanted to find a way to help. We’re excited to announce that this year, we are sponsoring MuSic for MS — a local event that raises money to help fight multiple sclerosis. Managed by several friends and family members of individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis in the Pittsburgh area, MuSic for MS has been an annual event for nearly a decade that focuses on helping those with MS through the healing power of music. 

Since its first event, MuSiC for MS has donated more than $235,000 to the Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which was founded in 1956 to serve Pennsylvanians in 26 different counties in Western Pennsylvania that are affected by MS. Specifically, the funds are used to assist in cutting edge research into the cause and cure of MS. 

This year’s event is scheduled for August 14, 2021 at Corbriwood Stage in West Deer, PA. As precautions for COVID, the event has limited in-person attendance, but a live stream of the event is available. This year’s musical lineup includes performances from Cue Ball and Nashville’s November Blue. For ticket information, or to make a donation to fight MS, visit musicforms.org.
