Fox Pest Control Sponsors National Women’s Half Marathon & 8k

When the team from Fox Pest Control’s Branch in Virginia Beach is handling pest issues for homeowners, they have the privilege of learning about events happening in the area and interests that customers have. One of the events that the team learned about recently is the National Women’s Half Marathon & 8K, an annual event that brings runners together to enjoy the beauty of our nation’s capital region.

Each year, hundreds of female runners lace up to run past national monuments and the Potomac River to raise money for a selected charity. This year’s event, which is scheduled for May 1, 2022, seeks to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA).

To help, Fox Pest Control has committed to sponsoring this year’s National Women’s Half Marathon & 8K. We wish all of the participants best of luck in their training and on race day!

Why AHA?

Cardiovascular disease remains the primary killer of adults in the U.S., and is in fact the number one killer of women. Every minute of the day, a woman dies from cardiovascular disease. Accordingly to AHA, 80% of these deaths can be prevented through lifestyle changes. The 2022 National Women’s Half Marathon & 8K will help AHA raise funds to expand educational awareness and prevention programs, ultimately leading to saving lives!
